'Millhaven' is situated on the bank of the Ohau Channel which is the waterway connecting Lake Rotorua to Lake Rotoiti.
Access is from Hamurana Road and the driveway meanders through a well established garden past the 10m.high windmill to the cottage with the main house and Channel beyond.
The area is well known for it's outdoor recreation including boating, flyfishing, wild water rafting, and kayaking on the Kaituna River at Okere Falls.
Less than 10 minutes to Rotorua airport, 15 minutes to Rotorua City and the tourist attractions and about 35 minutes to the Bay of Plenty beaches.
Millhaven is a unique little hideaway...a fly fisherman's delight. The Ohau Channel is famous for it's prize winning catches of brown and rainbow trout. Fish from the water's edge or relax in the gazebo in the garden and watch the boats glide past. Pukekos, ducks, swans, geese and herons nest on the channel banks.
Restaurant, cafe/coffee bar, beer gardens are close by at the Duxton Hotel, Marama Point Resort and Okere Falls as well as takeaways at the Happy Angler Store at Okawa Bay.
